Misc. collection of papers containing undated 17th-century sermons and correspondence, including items of Congregational ministers Shubael Dummer, John Cotton, Josiah Cotton, and William Brattle. Also, the "Will of Charles Chatterbox," alias William Bigelow, in verse, written at the end of his career as a student at Harvard College in 1794; and a document of sale from Nathan Hale to Thomas W. Ward for Boston newspapers, their subscriptions, and equipment.

William Biglow (1773-1844) was a schoolmaster, songwriter, and author, who graduated from Harvard in 1794. Biglow was born in Natick, Mass. on September 22, 1773. He received an AB from Harvard in 1794 and AM in 1804. In 1792, as a Harvard student, Biglow wrote Junior Classology.
